Rain Test

Passing Rain Test is required before the vehicle can go out on track. The test consists of a rig that sprays water onto the area of the vehicle directly above the accumulator and checks for an IMD fault which can be triggered by, for example, a short between the + and – terminals of the HV lines or between LV and HV. I was the Electrical Safety Officer so I went through the Rain Test procedure. Fortunately, the car passed Rain Test on the first-attempt.
